It baffles me why the original Australian LP's aren't the standard. The sequencing is better and the complete 70's aussie albums would mean we wouldn't have to worry about EP's like '74 Jailbreak' and two Box Sets (the only track you'd miss would be the B-side 'Cold Hearted Man' and the two Dave Evens era tracks "Can I Sit Next To You Girl" and "Rockin' In The Parlor"). Imagine the uproar if, say, it was the U.S Beatles catalogue as the standard instead of the U.K one.To date, the '93 CD's are now deleted (some Australian stores have old stock if your lucky) and the 1986 T.N.T is the only uncut version of as the '93 uses tracks from the U.S versions with the fade outs.Like others have said below, stick with the original 70's albums if you can.
I had this album on tape, back in the day. I ordered the CD, because I did not have it my collection, and my wife had never heard the big balls song. I liked 2 tracks from this CD, Dirty Deads and Big balls. I also own several other ACDC albums. It is really too funny. The rest is ok, but I could take them or leave them. They had better albums, but if you want big balls, you have to get this album. It was worth the small price I paid for the CD.
Most people the classic title track but for true rock fans this whole album is a total hit. This is the AC/DC we all remember, I love the Brain Johnson era better but Bon Scott took AC/DC to places they could only go with him, he will be missed.
a potential 5 star release. the austrailan version of this cd had JAILBREAK and ROCK IN PEACE on it. atlantic records screwed the pouch when they released this stateside.
"Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap" is one of the best titles ever for a rock record & AC/DC deliver with their second American release. I coulda done without "Big Balls," but why split hairs. The 2003 reissues were fantastic, especially for Bon Scott fans. They're tons of photos and liner notes documenting this time-period in AC/DC's history. The title track, "Ain't No Fun (Waiting Round To Be A Millionaire)" & "Ride On" are excellent AC/DC tracks with vintage Bon Scott wordplay. They're one of the greatest rock bands ever & Bon Scott blows Brian Johnson outta the water. Another great cd by a great bar-band turned world-beaters.
